After being set free, Rohan and Supriya are chastised by police for the delay in getting Supriya clinically examined, and both are accused of being liars. While Rohan and Supriya are on their way to the clinic, they are kidnapped by Shellar's men and held captive for 36 hours.

A horrified Rohan immediately calls the police Officer Chaubey advises him to get his wife medically examined in 24 hours to prove the assault. The next morning while Rohan is at work, Amit and Wasim sneak into the house and brutally rape Supriya. He and his friend Wasim, drunkenly misbehave with the couple, enraging Rohan, and they have a heated exchange. One night, on their way back home after dining out, they are harassed by Amit Shellar, a local goon and younger brother of Madhavrao Shellar, a well-known politician. The two start liking each other and get married. Through friends, he meets Supriya, a working woman who is also blind, but proudly independent. Rohan is a kind, happy young man who has been blind since birth and works as a voice-over artist for a living.

Even as he is contemplating how to go about seeking revenge, he realises something that shakes him terribly. He gathers his wits and decides to take law into his own hands to avenge the rape and death of his beloved wife. Rohan finds himself completely handicapped due to the law not being of any help to him. In fact, the deputy of the investigating police officer even accuses Rohan of using his wife to extort money from out of Amit and his rich and influential brother. The investigating police officer (Narendra Jha) and his deputy (Girish Kulkarni) are not at all sympathetic towards Rohan and Supriya. Also, Supriya being blind does not know who has raped her especially because the rapists were clever enough not to utter a word. They complain to the police but since Amit is the minister’s brother, he is soon allowed to go scot free. But their life is shattered when one day, the minister’s brother, Amit (Rohit Roy) and his friend, Wasim (Sahidur Rahaman), rape Supriya. They get married and are leading a very happy life, dreaming of a great future ahead.

The two soon fall in love and decide to get married. He meets Supriya (Yami Gautam) who is also blind like him. He is adept at modulating his voice and mimicking people. Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) is a blind young man who works as a dubbing artist to earn his livelihood.
